Domestic Violance
While domestic violence sadly occurs across all levels of education and socioeconomic status, it is seen vibrantly and more prevalent among people who live without all necessities in rag picker families. What we do in case of domestic violence:
- Support the survivor by taking her to hospital for MLC, filing a police case, coordination with One Stop Sakhi Center run by MoWCD and providing shelter as well if required.
In conclusion, while illiteracy doesn't directly cause domestic violence, it can create conditions and vulnerabilities that make it more prevalent. Addressing illiteracy, particularly among women, is a vital part of a broader strategy to combat domestic violence and promote gender equality. We are providing literacy classes for women as well.
